Trifari Gustavo Trifari, emigrated
to America in 1904 from Naples Italy where he had learned the fine art of gold smithing from his grandfather. It was the beginning of one of the most recognized names in the costume jewelry trade. The pieces that were designed and made by this company are sought after by collectors all over the world. Many designers were employed by Trifari with Alfred Phillipe probably being on of the most recognized. Trifari designed and made jewelry that spanned price ranges from very high end to dime store beauties, but the quality and workmanship were always there. |
